Candace's journey with horses began as a teenager and she has been riding for the past 30 years. She spends many hours each year improving her own riding skills through lessons, clinics, and competitions in a variety of different disciplines. She's taught her 4 children and countless others to ride. Her passion for therapeutic riding comes from helping her neuro-divergent twins navigate life. She's driven by a desire to understand and improve the horse-rider bond, especially for people with different abilities. She is currently working on her PATH International Therapeutic Riding Instructor Certification.
Our programs wouldn't run without all the effort Shanice puts into helping Candace every week. She assists with everything from horse care to clean up. She is often found in lessons to be leading horses, side walking or just supporting the riders. She will eventually be working towards her coaching certification.
